While dealing with the various facets of the available opportunity as C.A. practitioner or as C.A. in Industry, we have to take care of the financial needs of the clients/ employer. Indian financial sector is hugely dependent on banks and the easiest and immediate source of getting finance is from the banking system.

However during the resent turbulent economic scenario wherein the banking sector is saddled with rising NPA'S and restructurings by the borrowers - small or large, it has become all the more challenging to get the finance from the banking sector.

Meeting on Issues in Assessment Proceedings

After finishing off the Audit work commitments, we have to now face the back to back challenge of completing the Income Tax Assessments. The twin challenges are to pacify the anxiety of the client to be saved from additions and the anxiousness of A.O. to make additions. The most challenging stage is the initial stage of Assessment before A.O. in order to see that he does not make high pitch assessment or ex-parte assessment so that the assesse is not burden up with the stringent tax recovery processes that are initiated by the I.T. Department.

Hence to understand, learn and revise the various aspects of the assessment proceedings we have to constantly read, discuss and deliberate. Hence we have organized the following study circle meet for the benefit of the group.
