Principles of Statutory interpretation-live Income Tax Issues

As someone has said "it is not what happens to you but how you react to it that matters" similarly under the tax laws "it is not what is written but how you read it that matters". Most of the planning ideas or intricate solutions under the post-facto analysis are result of truthful reading of any provision of the law. It is intended to demonstrate the application of certain principles of statutory interpretation to be applied while reading tax laws and these are explained through certain live tax issues which we all are facing as on date. This would help us in understanding these principles of interpretation as also these live issues along with the solutions thereof through the reading of relevant provisions of the tax law.
