Meeting on Important Aspects related to Bank Branch Audit

We are sure all of you must be busy in conducting the pre-audit of Banks allotted to us. 

 

We have already conducted the lecture meeting of Shri Rameshbhai Kedia on bank branch audit who guide us about the audit in CBS environment and also discussed the important provisions of advances.

 

However, many aspects of advances are not covered during this meeting. Hence we have decided to arrange another meeting on bank branch audit. We are thankful to Shri Kulinbhai Vasavada for accepting our invitation to take the lecture meeting on bank branch audit.

LECTURE MEETING ON BUDGET 2011 (SERVICE TAX) ANALYSIS

Dear Members,

 

The Hon'ble finance minister has introduced budget -2011 which has very few proposals on Direct Taxes and Indirect Taxes. However, there are important proposals on service tax including levying of service tax on accrual basis instead of receipt basis.

 

We as professionals have to understand the of proposed amendments to guide our clients. Keeping in mind above, we have organized Lecture meeting on the above subject. We are extremely delighted to inform that CA Nileshbhai Suchak (Eminent Professional on Service Tax matters) has agreed to share his knowledge and experience on the proposals relating to Indirect Taxes.

SEMINAR ON OPPORTUNITIES FOR CA IN INSURANCE SECTOR

 

 

Dear Members,

 

After privatisation of the Insurance sector, change in the life stile, increase in the education, and tensions, awareness of the Insurance amongst the people is increasing. However, the per capita consumption in India is less than $ 25 each in Life Insurance as well as General Insurence as in comparision to per capita consumption in US of more than $ 1600. So there is huge untapped market for insurance in India. The visibility of Chartered accountants in insurance sector as compare to banking sector is very low, even though chartered accountants possess financial/commercial expertise that the insurance sector demands and the integrity that the industry need. So the privatization and de-tariff regime has opened up vast opportunities for Chartered Accountants in Insurance sector in India.

 

 

Keeping this in mind , we have organized this seminar on opportunities for CA in insurance sector to create awareness amongst our members. We are extremely pleased to inform you that the SBI Life Insurance Ltd. has agreed to associate with our study circle for this seminar.

 

 

We are happy to inform you that the new office bearers of WIRC will take charge on 22^nd February, 2011.  The newly elected chairman of WIRC CA Shriniwas Joshi, vice chairman CA Bhailalbhai K. These days of globalization have made the world very close. Due to this cross boarder transactions have increase many fold. To up date our knowledge, we have to be in touch with the latest developments on FEMA.

 

Considering the importance of the subject, we had organized two meetings to discuss various case studies on FEMA vis-à-vis NRI taxation on 30^th November, 2010 and on 28^th January, 2011. However, we could discuss only 11 posers during these meetings. We are extremely happy to inform that CA Hiren D. Shah has agreed to discuss balance posers.

Dear Members,
 
We are pleased to inform you that we have arranged 15 meetings during last 6 months. We are thankful to all the members for their active participation in the meetings. Our membership strength has crossed 150 mark. More and more members are asking for new membership.
 
Friends, as you know, our institute has extended the last date for compliance of CPE credit to March, 2011. Considering the above facts in mind, we have decided to accomodate new members by paying fees of Rs. 300/- for the period from January 2011 to March 2011. Members are requested to inform their friends who are not member of Navjivan so that they can take benefits of our programmes.
